Collaborations between the car industry and the world of product design are fraught with difficulties, are usually fleeting and all too often end in (marketing department) tears. One of the few possible exceptions is Italian leather and furniture company Poltrona Frau. Citroen C-Cactus: the lowdown
Citroen’s C-Cactus concept car on show at Frankfurt signals the start of a programme to investigate simplifying the construction of its cars –stripping out unnecessary weight, complexity and emissions from its everyday hatchbacks and saloons. And it’s not as far flung as it looks. Its designers told CAR Online that this concept wasn’t about the external design, but rather the way the project was conceived and built.
60% OF MOTORISTS believe there are not enough police officers on the road to enforce driving laws, according to an RAC survey. More than half (51%) of drivers think it is unlikely that motorists will ever get picked up for texting while stopped in traffic. And 40% reckon they stand little chance of being stopped by police for aggressive driving, the poll of 1,526 drivers found.
